Amelia Island and historic Fernandina Beach are located at the northeastern corner of Florida.
There are a number of fishing options for guest anglers, but Captain Lawrence Piper specializes in backwater, light tackle fishing for Redfish, Trout, Flounder and other inshore species.
Captain Piper picks up guests at the Fernandina Beach City Marina or at the south end of Amelia Island and fishes the creeks and tributaries that flow through the marshes surrounding the island.
Freshwater Fishing:
There are a number of brackish freshwater fishing and boating options located off-island. See the REAL Florida by getting back into the swamps of Lofton and Boggy Creek’s and encounter alligator, deer, snapping turtles, snakes and wild turkey. Wild roses, blackberry and other swamp plants line the banks. Fishing for panfish and bass is available along with boat rides.
Anglers in freshwater are required to purchase their own fishing license.
